The gospel readings recently emphasized very much in loving one another. The Lord knows that our sinful nature always, disunites us, as we can see in our family, workplace and even in our own parish. Therefore, how can we promote and encourage this unity in our family, workplace and parish. First: to be aware of certain people who like to spread negativity in others in order not to be caught up in gossip which leads to ruin the other person’s reputation and create disunity among us. Second: if there are constant arguments towards certain persons or groups, especially in our parish, let us listen to what Pope Francis said “A Church with such problems makes me think that the Spirit is not really present. And always in a church where there is constant argument, alliances and betrayals there is no Spirit!. The Spirit creates novelty that moves the situation, urges it forward, creating new spaces, which creates the wisdom that Jesus promised: “He will teach you!” This moves, but it is also what ultimately creates the harmonious unity between all.” Let us always examine ourselves ‘do I bring unity or am I the cause of this disunity in my family, workplace or my parish.’
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr Nicolas Tumbelaka
I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY SON OF GOD
At the heart of catechesis: Christ
426 “At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, the only Son from the Father. . .who suffered and died for us and who now, after rising, is living with us forever.” To catechize is “to reveal in the Person of Christ the whole of God’s eternal design reaching fulfilment in that Person. It is to seek to understand the meaning of Christ’s actions and words and of the signs worked by him.” Catechesis aims at putting “people . . . in communion . . . with Jesus Christ: only he can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity.”
427 In catechesis “Christ, the Incarnate Word and Son of God,. . . is taught – everything else is taught with reference to him – and it is Christ alone who teaches – anyone else teaches to the extent that he is Christ’s spokesman, enabling Christ to teach with his lips. . . Every catechist should be able to apply to himself the mysterious words of Jesus: ‘My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.'”

When you have an opportunity to defend your faith or clarify a question about your faith, do you do it? Or, do you remain silent so that others don’t thin you are weird?
