*December 25, 2015 Nativity of the Lord*

Dear Parishioners,
Merry Christmas to all of you and your family. Some of you have prepared Christmas by attending the morning Christmas Novena Mass and we thank Ms. Jossie Luciano with her team and all of people who involved in this novena. This year our garden looks more beautiful with the lights, we thank Mr. Jose Messa and Mr. Joseph Bauer for doing it. With a successful Parish Christmas party last year, this year the Couple for Christ organizes the party again which we could rely on their expertise. Each year so many of you help me to prepare our solemn Christmas liturgy and celebration and thank you very much. I also want to thank all of you very much for your prayers, beautiful Christmas cards and gifts. Thank you for your love and prayers. Let me take this opportunity to welcome all parishioners who come back to celebrate Christmas with us, please be reminded that OLM is always your home. To our brothers and sisters who attend the Mass for the first time, we welcome you with full of joy. We want you to be part of our family and please feel at home with us. Let us rejoice because our God with His love come to meet us and save us and let us together continue to share this joy to others. May the blessing Christmas bring abundant graces upon you and your family as we are looking forward to welcome the new year.

Sincerely in Christ,
Father Nicolas

CHAPTER TWO

“I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY SON OF GOD”
The Son of God Became Man
III. True God and True Man
466 The Nestorian heresy regarded Christ as a human person joined to the divine person of God’s Son. Opposing this heresy, St. Cyril of Alexandria and the third ecumenical council at Ephesus in 431 confessed “that the Word, uniting to himself in his person the flesh animated by a rational soul, became man.”89 Christ’s humanity has no other subject than the divine person of the Son of God, who assumed it and made it his own, from his conception. For this reason the Council of Ephesus proclaimed in 431 that Mary truly became the Mother of God by the human conception of the Son of God in her womb: “Mother of God, not that the nature of the Word or his divinity received the beginning of its existence from the holy Virgin, but that, since the holy body, animated by a rational soul, which the Word of God united to himself according to the hypostasis, was born from her, the Word is said to be born according to the flesh.”90 (495)

If you wish to offer for a Mass intention, please come to the parish office.
Prayers for the Sick
In your prayers, please remember the sick:  Anaceto Rabang, Delima Ngui, Sydney Shanti, Joveno Labandelo, Jean Lopez, Marie Piche, Lourdes Andal, Eleonora Favaro and Miguel Concon.
Holy Communion:  Any one who is shut-in and wishes to receive  the Eucharist please let us know.  If you have  a loved one who is sick and needs our prayers,  and would like to insert their name  in the bulletin, kindly contact the office.

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS

“See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)

During this season of giving, let us remember the most important gift we have received – being children of God. As God’s children, it’s important that we express our love for others as well. Tell your spouse, children and other family members and friends that you love them, frequently.
