Assembling publicly for the first time, the candidates who have completed the period of the inquiry declare their intention to the Church and the Church in turn, carrying out its apostolic mission, accepts and welcomes them as persons who intend to become its full members. “When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.”
Putting our complete trust in the Lord without expecting anything in return. Striving to put God first in all things and follow Him wherever He may led us. As we prepare for the birth of our Lord, pray for the strength and courage to be a model of discipleship, just as Joseph was.

CHAPTER TWO: I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY SON OF GOD
III. The Mysteries of Jesus’ Public Life
“The Kingdom of God is at hand”
541 “Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying: ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe in the gospel.’” “To carry out the will of the Father Christ inaugurated the kingdom of heaven on earth.”247 Now the Father’s will is “to raise up men to share in his own divine life.” He does this by gathering men around his Son Jesus Christ. This gathering is the Church, “on earth the seed and beginning of that kingdom.”
542 Christ stands at the heart of this gathering of men into the “family of God.” By his word, through signs that manifest the reign of God, and by sending out his disciples, Jesus calls all people to come together around him. But above all in the great Paschal mystery—his death on the cross and his Resurrection—he would accomplish the coming of his kingdom. “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.” Into this union with Christ all men are called.
Our parish goal is $70,000. To date we have received a total donations of $58,021 from 226 parishioners. . If you have not contributed yet, please consider giving today. We will be accepting your donations until the end of December either by online at www.rcav.org/giving (designate our parish), in person at the parish office or by mail. You can also place your clearly marked pledges in the Sunday collection basket. Please participate and support our parish projects, regardless of the amount.
