RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults)
RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults) and Catholic Faith Journey
 RCIA is for adults in need of Baptism, First Communion or Confirmation. Or just want to know more about the Catholic Faith. Sessions begins at 7pm and continuing every Thursday at the church basement. The goal is to enhance participants’ faith sharing and listening skills in the context of journeying with others

Saint Anthony of Padua Perpetual Novena: Every Tuesday after morning Mass
Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help: Every Wednesday after morning Mass and at 6:30 pm in the Church.
Perpetual Novena to Saint Peregrine: Every 4th Monday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Children’s Room.
The Sacrament of Marriage : At least six months notice must be given to the Pastor
The Sacrament of Baptism : Parish families who wish to have a child baptized should be registered in the parish. Please visit the Parish Office to register. Mandatory attendance of Preparation Class for parents and godparents. Class is held every last Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. (Note: Baptisms are scheduled on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 12:30 pm)
YOUTH MINISTRY : All the parish youth from Grade 6 & 7 (Junior) and high school (Senior) are invited for one hour session 4-5pm every Friday in the church basement. Please contact Melanie at 604-441-4953 email: [email protected]

PERPETUAL NOVENA TO SAINT PEREGRINE (PATRON SAINT OF CANCER PATIENTS)
Let us join Our Lady of Mercy Parish and Mustard Seed Healing Ministry to pray the perpetual Novena to Saint Peregrine (Patron Saint for cancer patients) every 4th Monday of the month. LIVELY SPIRIT FOR SENIORS
spirit-for-seniorsA new, slow-paced seniors program, LIVELY SPIRIT for SENIORS, is running on Fridays, 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the OLM Children’s Room. The program has prayers, praise songs, light lunch & fellowship, and exercise for the body and mind. The program is Christ- centered and is designed for seniors who are not able to attend regular church activities. For many people, God and money run “neck and neck” as their first priority. Making money and spending money becomes the center of their life and they actually become a slave to money. The solution – become more generous. Giving money to Church and charity frees us from slavery to money and from making money a “god” before God.

VIDEO PRESENTATION
If anyone of you who come to the Holy Mass but don’t quite understand its settings or what the priest is doing and saying, here is a good opportunity for you to know more about it. There will be a video presentation on the Holy Mass entitled “Walk Through The Mass, Exploring The Sacred Liturgy” by Dr. Edward Sri. He will explain to us the entire setting of the Mass, the prayers, the gestures and the responses from the beginning untill the end. It will be held on Tuesday, Feb 28 at the church basement from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

 
 

FR. ROB GALEA-PSALM 98 MUSIC MINISTRY CONCERT
rob-galea-concertThere will be a concert on March 5 at OLM gym from 2 pm until 4 pm featuring Fr. Robert Galea together with Psalm 98. Tickets are sold at $15 each. Proceeds will go to Migrants and Refugee Program of OLM. We will be selling tickets every weekend Mass from Feb 4 until Mar 5.

 
 

THE HEALING HEART
March 5-7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m, at Saint Luke’s Parish in Maple Ridge. Dr. Margarett Schlientz, a theologian, clinical psychologist and psychiatric nurse, will present and address issues—on fear, anger, resentment, wounds from loss of love, especially parental love—and lead her audience to an understanding of Jesus’ teaching to achieve healing: real and deep forgiveness. This parish mission is a good preparation for Lent. Invite your family members and friends.

 
 

AGAPE STREET MINISTRY
Do you want to do something more fulfilling? Agape Street Ministry, a women’s catholic ministry reaching
out to women involved in prostitution is looking for volunteers (men, women, young adults) to join their Vancouver, Surrey and Chilliwack teams.
You are the person if you:
– are 19 years of age;
– have two – three hours to spend each week; and
– have the passion to tell our less fortunate sisters that “Jesus loves them”.

HELP SUPPORT THE PARISH
Subscribe to Living with Christ daily Missal through OLM parish office. For each new subscription, Novalis will give the parish $10 and with renewals, $2. Next weekend after Mass, the parish youth will hand out the form and collect your payment at the foyer of the church; or you may come to the parish office during weekdays.

Tax receipts for the year 2016 have been printed and ready for pick up during office hours or after weekend Masses volunteers will help to find it for you in the church foyer. If you have any concern, please contact the parish office.

 
 

SPRING GARDENERS PARTY
Wednesday, March 8 at 6-9 pm, Saint Thomas More Collegiate. You are all invited to learn more about ‘Plant a Row-Grow a Row’, listen to inspiring speakers, get useful handouts and giveaways, and enjoy coffee or tea and goodies. Admission is free but a donation of non-perishable food for the New Westminster Food Bank is appreciated.

The “Spiritual Exercises” is an intensive, individually directed retreat offered by the Jesuit Spirituality Apostolate in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.
