STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS

Images in the modern media are exercising powerful negative influences in our culture. “Whoever controls the images, controls the culture” – Bishop Robert Morneau. We do well to be aware of the images that tempt us. Images that tempt us to chase after things that hinder our ability to be the best disciples and stewards we can be. Prayer, patience, and perseverance give us the strength to resist temptation. “Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything”, says St. Paul. (Phil 4:6) Be patient in getting things, resist becoming a slave to instant gratification. When you are weak, seek God’s unconditional mercy and he will give you strength. And, with hope and joy, persevere in your journey to being the best disciple and steward you can be.
