At the top of the mountain Peter, James, and John could see the glory of God present in the person of Christ. “It is good for us to be here”, says Peter. We do not have to climb to the top of a mountain to experience God’s glory. We can witness God’s glory every day in simple acts of generosity and kindness. When we use and share our gifts for God’s glory our lives, and the lives of others, are transfigured. Each of us has a role to play in advancing God’s Kingdom. It is good for us to be here, and to share the gifts God gives us here and now. Not only for the sake of our eternal reward in heaven, but to do good here and now for the sake of making this a better world!
