Dear Parishioners,

I hope that all of you are still doing fine. As you may have heard that the Archdiocese of Vancouver allows the Mass to be open for public with some restrictions to be followed. Each parish will use its prudent judgment when they will open it. After having consultation with the Parish Council, we are ready to hold public Masses starting May 30/31, 2020 on the Solemnity of Pentecost. Schedule of Mass and other devotions are back as usual again. However, all the faithful in the Archdiocese of Vancouver remain dispensed from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass during this initial reopening phase. How to keep the safety of our church community? All of us are called to observe physical distancing, frequent handwashing, appropriate use of masks, and to limit all public gatherings to no more than 50. We encourage each person who enters the church to take responsibility of his/her own protection by bringing his/her own sanitizer, and wipe the place that he/she is going to touch (pew, door handle, toilet etc.). The church will provide extra sanitizer in case it is needed.

Some requirements need to be fulfilled before entering the church:

Health requirement

All those attending Mass do so at their own risk. It is important for individuals and families to take responsibility for protecting themselves and others

a. The following must stay home for the sake of the wider community:

i. People with COVID-19 or who live with someone with COVID-19
ii. People who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19

iii. The sick, including those with even the slightest symptoms or feelings of sickness, especially if with upper respiratory or flu-like symptoms

iv. Those who have recently travelled outside of Canada

b. The following are encouraged to stay home for the sake of the wider community:

i. People who live with someone with upper respiratory or flu-like symptoms
ii. People, especially the elderly, with underlying or comprised medical conditions
iii. Family members who live with elderly people or those who are at risk

Administrative requirement

We are required to have a database record of the contact information of those who attend each Mass in order to assist public health officials with tracing by contacting everyone who may have been exposed in the case of an individual who tests positive for COVID-19, therefore a registration is needed before attending the Mass.

Please register online at:

or, scan the QR code on the bottom using your phone camera. Both registration link and QR code can also be found at our parish website http://olmp.org

A confirmation number will be sent or given to you by the parish office, please bring it when coming to Mass. If you have trouble registering online, please let us know by text to 778-917-5733 or call the parish office.

Please note:

  • The full name registered must be the same as in the ID
  • One family needs to register in one form and write the full name of all the attendants
  • Please indicate the Mass time that you will attend (e.g. Sunday 9 AM, or Sunday 11 AM)
  • Please come 30 minutes before Mass to join the rosary, the door will be closed 15 minutes before Mass. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Fr Nicolas

“I am praying for them…” (John 17:9)

Prayer is the foundation of our Faith and the foundation of Stewardship. Pray in good times and in bad. Prayer is always the first best option in any situation, not just the last resort. Pray for friends and family and for those that don’t treat you very well. Pray to give praise, to thank, and to ask God for help. Pray to see what God wants you to do with the gifts He has given you.
