Our extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist are commissioned annually on the Feast of Christ the King. These individuals have the great privilege and responsibility of administering the Holy Eucharist to parishioners. Those interested in being part of this ministry should meet with me. Along with assisting with the distribution of Communion at parish Masses these individual are trained to bring Holy Communion and Viaticum to sick and dying parishioners in hospitals, nursing homes and their own homes. This profound privilege not only comes with a necessary reverence for the Eucharist but engenders a growing love of the presence of Jesus, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity placed in their hands.
